Welcome to the website and, if you are new to Ellesmere, welcome to the College. Please take the time to have a look at all the great things we do here and, if you’ve never paid us a visit, please do come and see us.

At Ellesmere we believe in creating an environment that enables all students to achieve their best while promoting a culture of kindness and friendliness. Since our designation as ‘good’ by Ofsted in May 2022 we have seen the further development of almost every area of our provision from our groundbreaking work at our Knighton Fields site, the development of our nursery provision and, even as I write, our exciting plans for the development of a new Post-16 building at the Aylestone Meadows site. On behalf of the Governors of the College, I’m extremely proud of all we achieve at Ellesmere. But don’t just take my word for it. Governors, Staff and Parents Work in Partnership

The Governors of Ellesmere College make decisions on how the school is run in consultation with the Executive Principal Steph Beale. All Governors normally serve on the governing body for at least four years.

Governors can be parents, teachers, local councillors, community representatives and business people. There are governors meetings at least once a term. Informal meetings and discussions occur much more frequently.
